If Christ is Greek for Messiach, what does the Hebrew mean in the general context?
Yakov anointed a pillar at Bethel and swore am oath. And Yehovah took notice of both actions .
Moses anointed Aaron as high priest but later the priests themselves anointed a High priest. They were not always accepted by Yehovah because of sin !
Leviticus 4:3 (NKJV)
‘if the anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, then let him offer to Yehovah for his sin which he has sinned a young bull without blemish as a sin offering.
His sin was noticed and laid upon the people, but his sacrifice related only to his sin which he had laid upon the people .
Only at the Kippurim moed was the sin of the nation covered over by Yehovah due to the service of the anointed Priest. Thus no sacrifice covers others sins except at the appointed time of Kippurim .
So in fact as Saul said the crucifixion of Yeshua bought a curse because they had stretched out their hand against Yehovah’s anointed !
Because Yeshua asked Yehovah to forgive as did Moshe that is why we were not all consumed !
No one took Yeshua’s blood and put it over a doorpost , that is why the great lintels in the Temple was split ready to collapse and the angel of death was not stayed but delayed !
Nobody ate his flesh at the Passover meal or took his blood to the doorposts, so that generation of vipers was doomed♥️♥️
The blood and the Lamb were spilled and killed outside the Temple. The blood placed on a stake and poured out on the ground, the body consumed by death and the grave .
So if you want to engage in Yeshua’s passover you must also be amongst those dead and buried to eat his flesh and t have his blood above your post so that Yehovah’s messenger of death might actually pass over you
And then Yehovah’s spirit will indeed drive you out of Egypt directly into the Kingdom which Yeshua brought right next to you!
And this is only one of the Torah Teachings Saul derives.
1 Samuel 10:1 (NKJV)
Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured [it] on his head, and kissed him and said: “[Is it] not because Yehovah has anointed you commander over His inheritance?
And Saul was also anointed and Yehovahs
Spirit eventually came upon him and he changed ♥️♥️.
All this because Yehovah prophesied in this manner
Isaiah 61:1 (NKJV)
“The Spirit of the Lord Yehovah [is] upon Me, Because Yehovah has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to [those who are] bound;
And the man Yeshua Ben
Miriam stood up and not only owned these sayings but also fully performed and fully preached them !
Luke 4:18 (NKJV)
“The Spirit of Yehovah [is] upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to [the] poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to [the] captives And recovery of sight to [the] blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
So we see the Tanakh tells a story which Yeshua is fully performing .
Start here and listen to Yehovah’s voice concerning Yeshua😍😍😍
Leviticus 4:3 (NKJV)
‘if the anointed priest sins, bringing guilt on the people, then let him offer to Yehovah for his sin which he has sinned a young bull without blemish as a sin offering.
1 Samuel 10:1 (NKJV)
Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured [it] on his head, and kissed him and said: “[Is it] not because Yehovah has anointed you commander over His inheritance?
Isaiah 61:1 (NKJV)
“The Spirit of the Lord Yehovah [is] upon Me, Because the Yehovah has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to [those who are] bound;
Luke 4:18 (NKJV)
“The Spirit of Yehovah [is] upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to [the] poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to [the] captives And recovery of sight to [the] blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
And on the occasion of Israel choosing a king Yehovah also assured Yeshua He would fight his battles :
1 Samuel 2:10 (NKJV)
The adversaries of Yehovah shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them. Yehovah will judge the ends of the earth. “He will give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed.”
But notice how Yehovah establishes also the high priest role in his kingdom . So again Yeshua is fulfilling this role after the order of Melekzadik:
1 Samuel 2:35 (NKJV)
‘Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest [who] shall do according to what [is] in My heart and in My mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever.
So here we see that both an anointed priesbwill be with an anointed king . But those that Samuel anointed wandered away ♥️
1 Samuel 16:6 (NKJV)
So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, “Surely Yehovah’s anointed [is] before Him!”
Later Yehovah chose to establish Zadok because Eliabs house was not faithful and also Yehovah chose Davids house because Saul was not faithful ;
1 Samuel 16:13 (NKJV)
Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of Yehovah came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.
Now see how Yeshua prevented Simon Peter from sinning against Yehovah and becoming guilty of disrespecting Yehovah’s anointed even though David was anointed:
1 Samuel 24:6 (NKJV)
And he said to his men, “Yehovah forbid that I should do this thing to my master, the Yehovah’s anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, seeing he [is] the anointed of Yehovah .”
And Even after he restored the Ear of Ananias servant yet were the events set in motion directed by Yehovah not by Yeshua and not by anyone elses authority :
1 Samuel 24:10 (NKJV)
“Look, this day your eyes have seen that Yehovah delivered you today into my hand in the cave, and [someone] urged [me] to kill you. But [my eye] spared you, and I said, ‘I will not stretch out my hand against my lord, for he [is] Yehovah’s anointed.’
1 Samuel 26:9 (NKJV)
But David said to Abishai, “Do not destroy him; for who can stretch out his hand against Yehovah’s anointed, and be guiltless?”
Do Fabid waited in the wings of Daul until Yehovah gave him the Kingdpm
:
2 Samuel 2:7 (NKJV)
“Now therefore, let your hands be strengthened, and be valiant; for your master Saul is dead, and also the house of Judah has anointed me king over them.”
Now Yeshua’s feetvwere anointed by a woman and the Jews appointed him king by a sign on his cross because they mocked him as weak. But when a Yehovah raised him from among the dead , then did many in Jude’s appoint him as king over them!
And again so we might know it was not by David’s own power or Yeshuahs:
2 Samuel 3:39 (NKJV)
“And I [am] weak today, though anointed king; and these men, the sons of Zeruiah, [are] too harsh for me. Yehovah shall repay the evildoer according to his wickedness.”
And when his apostles went out proclaiming him as such in all the world then did many in lost Israel also anoint him King :
2 Samuel 5:3 (NKJV)
Therefore all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron before Yehovah And they anointed David king over Israel.
But he needs no man or men to anoint him king for Yehovah has done this by Psalm by Prophet b Torah and by a mighty temple destroying death and resurrection
2 Samuel 12:7 (NKJV)
Then Nathan said to David, “You [are] the man! Thus says the Yehovah Elohim of Israel: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.
And Saul indeed repented his persecution of Yeshua
2 Samuel 22:51 (NKJV)
“[He is] the tower of salvation to His king, And shows mercy to His anointed, To David and his descendants forevermore.”
And thus he confirms Yeshua as a descendant of David , and the son of David David himself called lord
2 Samuel 23:1 (NKJV)
Now these [are] the last words of David. [Thus] says David the son of Jesse; [Thus] says the man raised up on high, The anointed of the God of Jacob, And the sweet psalmist of Israel:
Psalm 89:20 (NKJV)
I have found My servant David; With My holy oil I have anointed him,
Psalm 92:10 (NKJV)
But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.
Psalm 105:15 (NKJV)
[Saying], “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.”
Habakkuk 3:13 (NKJV)
You went forth for the salvation of Your people, For salvation with Your Anointed. You struck the head from the house of the wicked, By laying bare from foundation to neck. Selah
Zechariah 4:14 (NKJV)
So he said, “These [are] the two anointed ones, who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth.”
If you have listened to his voice you will know that Yrdhua like Cyrus is Yehovah’s anointed whose hand he has held in all that Yehovah desired him to do
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
